Jackson Heights, NY - Democrat Francisco Moya’s (D-Corona) State Assembly campaign continued to gain momentum with today’s endorsement from Congressman Joe Crowley, State Senator Jose Peralta, Assembly Member Mike DenDekker, Council Member Daniel Dromm and Council Member Julissa Ferreras.  With the unified support of the elected officials whose districts overlap the Assembly district, Moya’s campaign continues to gather strength and build toward victory in September and November.

Congressman Joe Crowley, who also serves as Chair of the Queens County Democratic Party, explained, “Francisco is not only a friend, but he is a good Democrat who our community can count on in the State Assembly.  With Francisco, the working families of this district will have an ally and advocate in Albany. I know he will fight for our schools, our seniors, and to bring good jobs back to this neighborhood.”

“I’m proud to endorse Francisco Moya as the best person to fill my former seat in the State Assembly,” said Peralta.  “With Francisco as my Assemblyman, I know I’ll have a partner to help advance a progressive agenda for all Queens’ families.  And as a good, loyal Democrat, Francisco will be a strong voice for our values in the Assembly.”

“Francisco’s dedication to working people in this community is the reason I am supporting him” said Assembly Member Mike DenDekker. “Nobody will focus more on jobs and education in Albany”

“Francisco grew up here in Corona, and he understands the challenges that we face,” said Council Member Julissa Ferreras.   “He’ll be an advocate for better schools, working families and small businesses, and will represent values that our community stands for.”

“Francisco’s work in the neighborhood speaks volumes about the type of legislator he will be,” said Council Member Daniel Dromm.  “Together we fought for hospital expansion in Elmhurst, the rights of immigrants in Jackson Heights, for equality for all families, and to improve people’s quality of life here in Corona.  Time and time again, he has shown that he knows how to get results.”

“I’m honored to receive the endorsements of the elected leaders from our community,” said Moya.  “Their support means that our campaign and our community will move forward with unified support from the great Democrats who already represent us at City Hall, in Albany and in Washington.  Working together, we will work to fix the budget crisis, eliminate cuts to our schools and bring good paying jobs to the people of Corona, Elmhurst and Jackson Heights.”
